Well seeing as Lewis Fountain could not write I am assuming the immigration officer or whoever he encountered when entering the country just guessed how to spell it. Which is why it is so confusing now and perhaps also why you could not find the marriage. Do you have some kind of a connection to the line of Fountains I am searching for?
