I'm looking for information on my great grandmother Annie Thompson.
All I know is that she married my great grandfather Thomas J. Fountain in Glebe, Sydney Australia in 1921 and died in Sydney NSW on May 31st 1964. They had two children, Sydney Thomas and Jack (whom I think was born as John Henry).
An online search of her death certificate shows an innacurate record. '74 years' is listed in the 'Fathers given name' column and 'Bexley' (the suburb in which she lived) is listed in the Mothers given name column.
Assuming that means she was aged 74 at the time of her death, it puts her birth at around 1890.
As NSW is the most obvious place to look for her birth records, I've managed to find the following records for the birth of an Annie Thompson around that time.
THOMPSON, Annie b. 1890 - Murrumburrah. Mother - Dinah. No father listed.
THOMPSON, Annie L. b. 1890 - Woollahra. Mother - Margaret. Father - Wilson
THOMPSON, Annie b. 1891 - Sydney. Mother - Charlotte. Father - John C.
THOMPSON, Annie A. b. 1891 - Lismore. Mother - Rebecca. Father - Elias H.
Does anyone have any information on my great grandmother Annie Thompson? Or any of these other Annie Thompsons to help me determine whether or not they are my great grandmother?
If anyone is has information on my great-grandfather Thomas, I would also like to hear from you. Thomas was born in 1886 in Newtown, Australia to parents George H. and Phoebe H. (nee Cowle).
