Henry Fountain of South Carolina (b. 1870s or '80s)

I'm looking for a Henry Fountain. All the clues I have:

He is the husband of Janie Reeves (AKA Jennie, Jeanie, Jinnie Reaves) of Florida. If they married, it would have been between 1900 (when Janie is 18 and home with her parents in Bradford Co., Florida -- near Starke) and 1910 when Janie Fountain is listed as a 28-year-old widow with daughter Cora M (for Maybelle), 3, in Kissimmee City, Osceola Co., Florida.

Cora Maybelle's death certificate (1955, informant is Cora's granddaughter) lists her father as "Henry Fountain". This is the only place his first name is listed that I have found.

From census records, Cora's father's place of birth is listed as South Carolina. This is noted in both the 1910 and 1930 censuses. (The 1920 lists 'Florida' -- however, Janie Fountain has remarried, and it appears as if the 2nd husband's birthplace has been substituted for Cora's biological father.)

I have looked high and low for a Henry Fountain that fits this description, but I cannot place one near the 'scene' of Janie's home in Bradford Co. or her later home in Kissimmee. It is possible that he migrated after the 1900 census, so he could be from ANYWHERE (although, betweeen South Carolina and Florida is likely). Also, a family story suggests that perhaps this person died of a rattlesnake bite while hunting in a remote location -- thus the lack of death location. Florida's marriage and death information is lacking any clues.

I am wondering if the Henry Fountain, son of H. E. C. (Hugh Ervin Canon, born 1840's, SC) Fountain of Darlington, South Carolina, might be a good candidate. He appears on the 1880 census as Henry C. Fountain, born about 1871. He is not with his parents on the 1900 census, although on that and following censuses, there are some close matches, but I do not know if they are the same.

SO...if anyone either:

1.) Can rule out the Henry Fountain, son of Hugh of S.C.,

OR

2.) Find a match for a Henry Fountain that fits my clues,

I would be so grateful to hear from you -- THANKS!
