For what it's worth, the LDS IGI has 958 Found entries although a good number of them probably are duplicates and/or undocumented submissions from church members. There are, however, quite a few actual English parish record extractions for Found christenings, some going back into the 1500s. The surname or some variation of it [Founde, Fond, Fownde, etc.] apparently has been around for quite some time and in quite a few different English counties.
