I have just started tracing my family tree and have hit a brick wall. Going on family history, my gt grandfather always told his children he was from the Forest of Dean area in Gloucester, searches of the BMD have not shown him to be born there. he was born around 1878 and there are several individuals who may be him in the BMD but they are from Lancashire or North Wales. I know he married Edith Jordan late 1890's early 1900's and was living in Merthyr Tydfil at that time. He had at least 2 brothers, one going to Merthyr with him & the other going to Port Talbot.
George was a pentecostal lay preacher, he had 2 sons, Ernest (my grandfather) & David & 4 or 5 daughters.
