I am the great-great grandaughter of Thomas Foulkes of Glynceiriog, North Wales and I have a lot of information about the family there, though it's very disorganised at the moment. The family were mill-owners, Non-Conformists (though earlier they were C. of E.)In the churchyard at Llanharmon Dyffryn Ceiriog there are many gravestones of the Foulkes family, which I have photographs of. All the minor research I have done suggests that the Foulkes family came from the Denbighshire/Flint area. My grandfather, Albert Foulkes was the last one to live there and sold up the flannel mills in the 1930's.
