I guess that Daniel Hopping was looking for more than the Bible record. I think we'd have to find Fouches in France or Brittany, and examine wills and church records to find a Hugh Fouch of the right age who may have emigrated. Anyone read French or have access to these types of records?

Also, does anyone know the meaning of the name? Nothing similar is in my French dictionary.
