Hi Fay,

My maternal grandmother was a Furches. Her name was Ruth Ann, and she was born in TN in 1912. Her father was Millard James Furches (born Feb. 19, 1893, died Aug. 11, 1970), and he lived in Green Cove, VA for most of his life. Millard's father was James Alexander Furches (born Jun. 6, 1850, died Jan. 9, 1951). Let me know if any of these names sound familiar to you. We might be related.
