John Foster 1757 MA to 1848 Barnard VT

John Foster, according to DAR records: Born: Ware Mass 9-3-1757; Died: Barnard VT 8-17-1848; Married: Experience Gray. Their daughter, Sarah Foster, married Robert Tucker.
While (illegible word, maybe “res’d” for “resided”) in said Ware with his (illegible word, maybe “family”) Foster went to Braintree to visit his uncle, Jacob Pepper, and while there, enlisted with his cousin, Isaac Pepper, sometime in August or September, 1777, served three months as private in Captain John Crawford’s company, Colonel Cushing’s Massachusetts regiment, and was at the surrender of Burgoyne. He enlisted sometime in April, 1780 and served three months as sergeant in Captain Benjamin Cox’s company of Vermont Rangers, was in frequent scouting parties against the Indians, and for a time was stationed at the Fort in Barnard, Vermont. The soldier, John Foster, was allowed pension on his application executed, August 9, 1832, at which time he was a resident of Windsor County, Vermont.
I am Mark Foster Bramlette, one of several descendants of John Foster who were named after him.
