Folks, looking for possible relationships between the Foster, Singleton and Cardwell families of Amelia Co.,VA.
I found the following deed and hopefully it will ring someones bell.

Amelia County, VA Deed book 1773-1786 page 144
Thomas Cardwell of Amelia Co. to Booker Foster of same. (Deed signed by Mary Cardwell) Date: March 24, 1785
100 pounds for 83-1/4 acres; also 41-1/3 acres -- after the death of the widow Singleton, who has her dower right in 125 acres, which is the whole of the above tract of land. Land is Amelia Co., adj. lines of William Mayes, Aaron League, Phillip Williams, Claiborn Foster and Thomas Holt.
