Ralph, I'm researching the Smith family.Richard, John and William Smith came into Boston about 1630-35. Richard founded the Long Island Settlement. About 40 families followed him. The Christopher Foster family must have been one of them.Your advice led me to Christopher. He died in 1687 and is buried in Suffolk Co. Long Island.
The movement to Cape May stated about 1691. Several families from Long Island migrated there prior to and just after 1700.
Thomas Foster, Edward Foster,Samuel Foster were land owners about 1700.
My interest is in Alethea Foster married Johnathan Smith about 1742.
