Hi Bea, I'm not sure if you are still researching this.I just found your post today.I am related to Dora's mother Julia Lloyd Foster. She would of been my great great aunt.Another Lloyd cousin and myself have been working on researching the Lloyd family. My mother's maiden name was Lloyd and her grandfather was Theodore (went by Dorry) Lloyd, which was Julia's youngest brother. They were all born in Chesapeake City, Cecil County, MD, as far as we can tell.A lot of the online records are sketchy at best.I do have a little information that I'd be more than happy to share with you.I live in Wilmington, DE.Please feel free to write to me anytime.I can tell you that from what I have found, Dora had two other sisters:Emma Mae (married a Frank Shaver) and Sarah.I haven't found too much on Sarah yet.Oh and she had a younger brother Gilbert. In addition to Theodore, Julia Lloyd had an older brother Frank (still searching for info on him) and two sisters:Sarah (went by Sallie who married James Bedwell) and Susie who married a Joseph Lloyd (no relation that we know of).And Theodore or Dorry married a Katherine Battersby. The Lloyd's were fairly well known in Chesapeake City and most of the men were all Captains on Barges.
