David Foster Dillingham, son of Absalom was born June 14,1831, Buncombe Co, NC, died died Ellijay, Gilmer Co, Ga May 21, 1906.He was married to Mary Ann Francis Mears, Buncombe Co, NC, Jan 9 1859. Mary Ann Francis was the daughter of James B. Mears and Margaret Elvira Penland
David was the first child of John W and Mary Jane (Stevens) Dillingham.
They had two sons, Barnett W, born 4-7-1867, Gilmer Co, Ga died Lawton, Okla 8-31-1937 and David Virgil, born 3-22-1876, died in Byers, Texas on 1-21-1912.
Baarnett later moved to Okla closer to good schools. He was a caattleman where raised Angus and Hereford cattle. His wife Nancy raised Turkey and Chickens and shipped them to market in the fall.
Both boys were methodist
