Thanks, Peggy for your response. I still have not been able to locate a marriage for Clementine Turman and Unk Foster. I am assuming that they were married in or around Elbert Co, Ga abt 1865 as the oldest child was born Apr 1866 in Ga. Clementine would have been about 15 yrs old. From the census reports, her children were born in Ga. so I really don't think that she or the 3 older (Foster?)children ever left Ga. Until the mystery is solved of who the Foster was and when they married, I have no idea of who to look for or where to look for them.
Would appreciate any further information you or anyone else out there may have.
