William Foster 1/25/06
William,
I couldn't be more in agreement with you.If I had the surname of Foster, I would myself take a DNA test just so I would know for sure what is what, but I do not.Fortunately or not, I am descended from Mira Isham who married Robert Foster. As you know, their daughter, Anne, eventually married a John Carraway and they had a daughter Mary, who married Lancaster Lovett II.This is my lineage.
I do agree with you, everyone wants to be descended from a Royal line.I am not trying to prove this line to be Royal, I am just trying to find out who the REAL parents of certain people are. That is where I get frustrated because people make claims on being descended from people and they seem to find names of people all over the place, but they never cite a reliable source of their findings. Some people just take the easy way out and copy all of the information from someone else.It reminds me of being in school, taking a test, and watching people copy the answers from someone who didn't study themselves. When this happens, you are bound to get it wrong because nobody studied in the first place.I don't want to re-harp on this, but it is very true.
Have you participated in The Foster DNA project? If so, that is cool.I would love to hear about the results.I am wondering if there is anyway I can take a DNA test to show where I fit in the picture, even though my last name isn't Foster? It is just a couple of things I would like to hear about from you, William.Like always, it is nice to chat.Take care.
Sincerely, Roy
