Thomas Fossi - lived near Deadwood ND

My great grandmother (Alexandria Tusa) and great grandFather Thomas Fossi both came to the US from Finland. In the US They came to a settlement which would now be considered as a divorce and my grandmother and her mother moved to michigan. My grandmother was raised as an only child and made believe her father wasn't alive growing up. When she was a teenager her father passed away and she learned that he had a whole other family in North Dakota. I know Thomas Fossi worked, and may have owned,Gold mines in ND but I know nothing else of my great grandfather I do have one picture of him. I would like to trace this side of my family but he wasn't discussed to my grandmother much so I have little to go on other then he came to the US from Finland. Maybe all this rings a bell to someone out there?....
