LINCOLN - Donald Lee Foss, 79, of Lincoln died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Springfield, the son of Russell King and Ethel May McCune Foss. He married Betty J. Elgin in 1947 in Morganfield, Ky.; she died in 1991. Mr. Foss was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired as a plater from Cutler Hammer in 1990 after 32 years. He was a member of Lincoln Moose Lodge and served as clock keeper for Chester East Lincoln and Carroll Catholic schools for 20 years. Survivors: two daughters, Linda (husband, Mike) Armstrong and Connie Newton, both of Lincoln; two sons, Gary (wife, Candy) Foss of Camp Point and Hoot (wife, Sheri) Foss of Broadwell; 10 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (wife, Thelma) Foss of Winter Haven, Fla.; a niece; a nephew; and companion, Elaine Lessen.
