Hi Ken... I am related, indirectly to Cindee, through the Fosdick/Primrose line. Found your input on Charles Fosdick most interesting. Through this and with Cindee's help, we have been able to trace the Fosdicks back to the Mayflower amd the Elder Wm. Brewster line. However, I too have had negative results in chashing down Nelson Primrose heritage. I have not had any luck in searching for info on Nelson's father, Charles in any archives in or about N.Y. Now that you have listed Charles's birthdate of 1821, which I did not have, I'll see if I can find him in any N.Y. census.
FYI, there is a Jay Fosdick, a cousin of Charles Fosdick and Sarah D. Smith, who was with the illfated Donner Party that was snow bound in their trek through the Sierra Mountains in 1840s. He had married a Sarah Graves, no issue, and he died in the Sierras. Thank you for the Fosdick information you forwarded to Cindee. We are keeping in touch and working jointly on this. Thanks again George.
