I have seen my own branch of the family spell the name a lot of different ways. I only found them in the 1851 census by doing a first name search. But all of the names, ages etc. matched my family so I knew I had the right people. This census record was also the key to connecting to my Waller ancestors and to the Australian descendants of my Grandpa's uncle, James Waller.

[I read the handwriting as "Foursbury" not "Fausbury".]
1851 England Census
Name Estimated Birth Year Birthplace Relationship Civil Parish County/Island
James Fausbury abt 1818 Rowgate [sic Rogate], Sussex, England Head Westminster St Margaret Middlesex [Carman to Builder]
Anne Fausbury abt 1812 Rowgate, Sussex, England Wife Westminster St Margaret Middlesex
James Fausbury [sic Waller] abt 1834 Rowgate, Sussex, England Son Westminster St Margaret Middlesex [Price's Candle Manufactory]
George Fausbury abt 1841 Hendon, Middlesex, England Son Westminster St Margaret Middlesex
Mary A Fausbury abt 1845 Batessca [sic Battersea], Surrey, England Daughter Westminster St Margaret Middlesex
Jane Fausbury abt 1849 Bodington [sic Paddington], Middlesex, England Daughter Westminster St Margaret Middlesex [Martha Jane]

Jane (Martha Jane) was my great grandmother and lived to be over 100 years old. We have photos of her.
