Deanna- Have you any more information on William (Bill) Thomas Fortson (b 14Feb1907)? Birthplace, wife's name, parents name? If he was from Lauderdale County, Mississippi; Samuel H Fortson and Mary Alford had a son William George Fortson. William G. and Elizabeth had a son William J. Fortson that would almost be of the right time to be your William Thomas' father. Sounds like a line of Williams. Does that help?
