Looking for info on a Fortson family that
might have lived in Rusk or Smith County,
Texas, just after the Civil War. There is
a marriage record of Sallie Mae Fortson and
A.A. Vester in 1867 in Rusk Co. I need to
find her family. Living in the same area
was a George Jefferson Wilson, married to a
Mary Jane Fortson , this might be the mother
from another marriage, I think they came
from Ga. Please, write if you can help.
