This may sound really stupid, or at least a 'long shot' as they say.My Fortner ancestor was Margaret Fortner, b 1851 in Wythe co Va. Parents unknown.I recently saw a photo album that had belonged to her. There was a photo of a 'double burial'.Two people were being buried at the same time.On the back of the photo is a very faint writing that mentions a child 'Dutch' standing on one of the caskets."Eve' was supposed to be buried in one of the caskets and the other was a boy that had been killed by a 'train'.I am hoping that someone can put this together with a family.I don't know where the photo was taken. She Margaret, married Henry Long and settled in Hancock co, Tn.The photo was not taken there.I have a feeling it was taken somewhere else that relatives lived. As tho it was mailed to her with the story on the back. This is the first time I have run into a 'Dutch' in connection to a Fortner.
