Hi Jan,
Thank you for the informaton.Has anyone information on Henry that might confirm relationship with Henderson?
I research Bartons that were in Blount Co., AL., Jefferson Co., AL. and Walker Co., AL. because of Powell connection (by marriage) in Conway Co., AR. 1885.
I first got involved with the Faulkner/Forkner/Fortner (and sometime Falconer and Falkner) family through my Barham connection (Sarah G. Barham daughter of James Barham, Jr. and Prudence (Freeman/Dunn) Barham.James' ancestor Robert Barham, Jr. m. Katharine Filmer (8-1-1620 Kent, Eng.) whose sister, Elizabeth, m. William Falconer/Faulkner (2-2-1620 Longon, Eng.).
I then became involved with them through Tatum line (by marriage). Mary Tatum m. Lewis Forkner/Fortner Stokes Co., NC. 5-23-1807 (I have Robinson/Tatum connection).Lewis was brother of William Joseph Faulkner/Forkner, father of Pleasant Forkner/Fortner (b. 1773 NC).
I now find that I am desperately looking for the right Faulkner/Fortner who was the father of Margaret Faulkner/Fortner (my ggggrandmother who married my ggggrandfather William H. Powell)who was in Choctaw Co., MS. 1838, Chickasaw Co., MS. 1850, Lafayette Co., MS. 1860-1870 and Conway Co. AR. 1880.
Looking into every nook and cranny I can find.
Jan Lawson.
