Hi, Mary Mac.

Did a quick search on "your" Fortins; came up with only 2 possibles. Also, used different spellings. (Suspect that your info was originally captured from word of mouth, thus phonetically.) Here goes:

Frederic Fortin (d: after 1881) married Mathilde Simard Feb. 2/1853 in St. Alexis de Grande Baie (Saguenay-Lac St. Jean region). At least 3 children: Henri, Georges (or Jean-Georges) and Josephine. Frederic's parents: Pierre and Josephte (or Marie-Josephte, or Josette) Dohren.

Lanny (Alpherie?) Fortin married Ida Fortin Oct. 6/1913 in St. Cyprien de Lery, Napierville region. Ida's parents: Avila and Cesarie Fillion; Alpherie's parents: Elzear and Oliva Perrier.

That's all I have - and that last one is a S.W.A.G.

Pierre
