Arthur J. Fortin, 80, of Juniper Ave., Swansea, formerly of Globe St. and Whipple St., Fall River, died Monday, October 10, 2005 at Saint Anne’s Hospital, Fall River.
He was the husband of the late
Dominica “Mandy” (Tetuan) Fortin.
Born in Warren, RI, the son of the late Arthur Fortin
and Marie Louise (Paulhus) Berard Fortin,
he lived in Swansea and Fall River for many years.
He was employed by U-Haul Co. for many years.
He was a life member of Leon Caravan # 122,
Order of Alhambra and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Survivors include a stepson, August Medeiros of Fall River;
a sister, Jeannette Tetuan of Swansea;
a stepsister, Leas Correia of Bristol, RI;
a grandson, Jeffrey Medeiros of Fall River;
3 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Michael Medeiros;
the brother of the late Paul, Charles and Norman Fortin
and the stepbrother of the late
Nancy Nadeau, Lorraine Correira and Leo Berard.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00.
Burial Notre Dame Cemetery.
