Shirley E. Fortier 1944-2006 SPRINGFIELD-
Shirley E. (Orlick) Fortier, 61, of Springfield, passed away, Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Baystate Medical Center. Born and raised in Chicopee, she was a long time resident of Springfield. She retired after 28 years as an inspector at Milton Bradley Co. and was a 35 year volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Shirley was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Shirley leaves her husband of 41 years, Thomas J. Fortier; two sons, Thomas J. Fortier, Jr., and his fiancé, Anna Gorczynska of Indian Orchard; Robert J. Fortier and his wife, Joella of Belchertown; a brother, Jack Orlick of Longhorn, PA and a sister, Barbara Santos of Prescott, AZ. The funeral will be Wednesday morning, October 18, 2006, from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 8:45 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Springfield at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee.
