Hi,
Have you checked in Louisiana for your Leo's place of birth? The reason I ask is that the Fortiers there used the name "Edwige" sometimes spelled "Edvige" for generations. Two of Valcour Aime's four daughters married Fortiers, including Edwige who was the mother of historian Alcee Fortier, and I notice more of them on the family tomb. I am assuming that "Couture" is also French, though I am not familiar with it, and the Fortiers were notorious about marrying their cousins -- and I do mean to the point where you can barely untangle them.
Hope you find your Leo.

Leslie
