Hi all,
I am a member of a Fort family that originally landed in Charleston, SC, but I understand that 3 brothers originally arrived and 2 moved on from here to other parts of the country. I still have no idea where they went or who they were but I'm pretty sure the brother's name I'm descended from was John Fort and arrived from France via England or just England.
I'm currently researching my family tree and am attempting to find out other Fort families I'm related to. My grandfather said he was contacted while A Family Called Fort was being written, but he couldn't remember what he learned at the time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Anyone know of any Forts in South Carolina?
