I am looking for information on Drury Fort who married Susan Williams daughter of Samuel Williams, Loyalist, and lived in Camden Co., GA ca 1790. Susan's father Samuel lived in Anson Co., NC prior to the Revolution and migrated there from Edgecombe Co., NC ca 1766. I noticed from a much earlier post that Elias Fort lived in Edgecombe County. Was wondering if there was a connection. I have a transcription of a Loyalist Claim by Susan's brother Maj. Henry Williams which names sister Susan, wife of Drury Fort, as well as sister Jane, wife of Nathaniel Ashley. Drury Fort and Nathaniel Ashley both lived in Camden Co., GA in the late 1780's and 1790's as did Susan and Jane's brothers Abner Williams and Wilson Williams. Both Drury Fort and Nathaniel Ashley as well as both Williams brothers were named and claimed to be Loyalists in Henry Williams' claim.
