Thanks for your information. I knew the dates were wrong for JohnI and JohnII as I have found copies of their wills. I'm trying to tie in Joseph Forsythe who moved originaly to Ohio and later to Illinois (d1865). Joseph is my GGGrandfather and I believe directly descended from JohnII. I have a booklet written approximately 1940 about the Forsythe's of Indian Springs, but it does not have a definite tie. The dates in this booklet also have the 100 year error as you have described. I have a lot of information on this family line that I would be happy to share with someone who could help me. Looking forward to hearing from you.
