My grandfather was Charles Lee Forsythe. Charles stated he was an orphan, so we have no information regarding our family beyond him. According to his death certificate, the following information is believed to be accurate:
Date of Birth: 10/05/1910
Place of Birth: Tennessee
Mother: Ethyl Emerson (birth place unknown)
Father: Collins Forsythe (birth place unknown)
Date of Death: 04/14/1984
Place of Death: Clearlake, California
Charles had three sons, two of which I only know of - my uncle and my father. My uncle is Norman Forsythe, and my father is Robert Lee Forsythe.
Charles was also married twice - once prior to my grandmother (identity unknown), and the second to my grandmother, Maria Gordikov.
I have been unsuccessful in locating census information for either of his parents. It is difficult to pinpoint them since I have no other information regarding the two.
It would be EXTREMELY helpful if anyone knows of someone in your family who might know of him, or if you have any information you could kindly provide.
