ELKHART - Ethel Weyhrich, 97, of Elkhart died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Dec. 26, 1908, in Beason, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane Smith Forsythe. She married Walter Weyhrich in 1938 in Beason; he preceded her in death. Mrs. Weyhrich was a music teacher with the Beason School District. She was a member of Elkhart United Methodist Church, where she was the organist, pianist, choir director and Sunday school superintendent. She was a past worthy matron of the Flower City chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors: son, Larry (wife, Carol) Weyhrich of Springfield, and two grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Elkhart United Methodist Church, the Rev. Rob Hake officiating. Burial: Elkhart Cemetery. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
