Mary Jane Forsythe was born in 1834 in Indiana and died in 1931 in Butler County, Kansas. She married David D. Luke some time around 1850-1854, possibly in Illinois. They do not appear in Illlinois marriages before 1850. Their first child, William H., was born about 1854 in Illinois. Mary Jane and David D.'s next 8 children, Ann Eliza, Charlie E., John, Edith Mae, Susan Ellen (my g-g-grandmother), Mary E., Ida W., and Alma P. were born in Missouri. Susan Ellen was born in Joplin, Missouri in 1867. Their last child, David L. was born in Kansas. Mary Jane and David D. Luke finally settled in El Dorado, Kansas. Any information on Mary Jane Forsythe's parents and/or family would be appreciated.
