I saw your posting on the Forsythe Genforum. I may have some info on your Robert and Anne (Delson) Forsythe; namely, a marriage bond in Norfolk Co., VA dated Jan. 8 1765 between the two. I think I may be descended from their son William. Who did your William marry? Did he have a son named Richard, b. c. 1815?

My Richard's obit says he was born in 1815 in Portsmouth, Norfolk Co., VA, the son of Capt. William Forsythe, (a sea captain) who died c. 1824. Richard's mother (unnamed) died c. 1828. I have a marriage of a William Forsyth and Anne Lishman, daughter of Isaac and Ann (Thompson) Lishman in Norfolk Co., VA on May 5, 1799. Is this your William? I hope so!
Please let me know.

Lisa Pennington
