William Forsyth of Detroit

Looking for any information anyone might have of William Forsyth (1737-1804), originally of New York, settled in Detroit. He was a prominent citizen there - opened the first tavern, and built a "ball-alley" near the fort. His wife's name was either Ann or Emily Tyne. She was twice-widowed by the time she married him. Her first husband was a Major Haliburton, a chaplain in the British Army (d. c1760), by whom she had a daughter, Jane Haliburton, born Jan 1759 in New York. Her second husband was Captain John McKinzie (d.c1764), a surgeon in the British Army, by whom she had John Kinzie (b. Dec 3, 1763 Quebec), who would later gain renown as 'the Father of Chicago'.
I know William had five children (at least) and one was another William. This younger William married Margaret Lytle (or, Little). Margaret's sister, Eleanor, married the younger William's half-brother, the above John Kinzie.
Any info on him, his pedigree, eeetc., would be helpful in ascertaining more information on his wife, and her previous two husbands.

MD
