Dear Mary: Thank you for your E-Mail. I had no idea that the Forsythe's were so popular in Springfield, Il. I am sorry but none ofthe people that you mention are in my family's blood-line. My father, Jacob Arthur Forsythe was born in Slater, MO on 7/27/1894. Hisfather was Richard Andrew Forsythe who married Missouri Adeline Campbell in Logansport, In. They were both born in 1851-1852. It wqas always my understanding that if you spelled Forsythe with an "e" that it meant they were from Scotland and without the "e" meant they were from England. I may be wrong on this, though.
