Looking for ancestors of: Catherine FORSYTHE was born in 1858 in Ohio. About 1862 she moved to the Streator area of Illinois. She married an ALLEN/ALLAN and had a daughter Nora. She married a COOK and had a son George. She had brothers, Jesse and Frank. In 1909 Jesse was in Ohio and Frank in New Mexico. 25 December 1886 she married Josiah WOOLFORD (my great grandfather), probably in Illinois. They had two sons, Albert (my grandfather) born in 1888, and Benjamin, born in 1900. Benjamin later moved to California with wife Violet NOBLE. Catherine died 5 November 1909 in the Streator hospital, LaSalle County, Illinois. She is buried in Moon’s Point Cemetery south of Streator. CATHERINE WOOLFORD DIES AT HOSPITAL AFTER FOUR WEEKS’ ILLNESS Mrs. Catherine Woolford of 111 Eleventh street, died at 8:25 this morning at the hospital after a four weeks’ illness from heart disease. Mrs Woolford was born in Ohio fifty-four years ago, but had resided in this vicinity for fifty years. She was married twenty-five years ago and is survived by the following children: Mrs. Nora Robinson and Ben and Albert of this city and George Cook of Clark City. She is also survived by two brothers, Jesse of Ohio and Frank of New Mexico. The funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home with burial at Moon cemetery.
