I'm working on my husband's family who come from Scotland around Greenock - that's around Lanark, correct?
His name was Samuel Forsyth - married Catherine Adams and had a daughter, Agnes who later married Harry King.
I don't know much more about him other than we have a photo of in in a regiment and that he died quite young - and his wife remarried.
