Hi, I don't know if there is any connection but my Nanna who has passed alway's talk about 'Reids' in the family. I'm listed in the messages not far under yours "My Forsyths" - Melissa Ninness. Our family was also big on including paternal and maternal names(my Nanna got the lot her name was Mary Cathcart Devlin Halkett Morton). For the children of Robert Forsyth and Janet Riddell, their middle name is Forsyth although Thomas got 'Halliday' as well(I'm not sure were that come from). Hope this helps.
