Hi,

I wonder if you could possible help me? Today I went with
my daughters school to visit Falkland Palace and have a walk
around the town. We came across a house with the initials
W.F (Male) and his wife initials E.B dated 1694 engraved above the door of his home, this gentleman obviously remarried and added his new wifes initials which were I.F.

I think the woman who took us on the tour of the town said
the mans surname was Forsyth.

Could this be one of your family ? I would love to let the children know the names of the people who lived here in 1694

I have looked at the I.G.I. but didn't get anywhere.

Any advise or help gratefully appreciated.

Carole
