"John Forsyth b. 1788 in Ireland, d. 1853 Wapello Co. Iowa his son is:
James Forsythe, b. 1816 in Ireland, d.1885, in Wapello Co. Iowa. his son is:
John Thomas Forsyth b. 1848, PA., d. 1929 in Wapello Co. Iowa his daughter Dora Ellen Forsythe was my grandmother.
Does anyone know when the Forsyth came to the U.S.?"

John and family landed in Philadelphia in the spring of 1843. The family spent 8 years in Allegheny County, PA. John and Elizabeth and family came to Wafello County, Iowa in 1851. They had 10 children. James was the 2nd, George was the 6th. George was my Great Grandfather.

Sorry I don't have more information yet.
