Glad Jean had an an answer for you. And for me also, as I didn't have that information.

I don't know where "Marmaduke" came from. He was called "Duke". It is not a mother's maiden name. Her name was Jane Barnes whose father was UNDERHILL BARNES. Marmaduke's father was William Forster

Marmaduke's house is still standing in Pleasantville, NY and has recently gone through a major renovation. If interested go to "Marmaduke Forster House" for pictures and history of the house.
