From our family bible :
Henry Forster b. April 19, 1850 Caldwell York UK d. June 15, 1920 married on August 24, 1878 to Mary (nee unknown) b. December 11, 1848 Cotherstone York UKd. September 8 1902.
They had 8 children all born from 1879 to 1892 all born Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Frances b .May 24 1890 m a Dryden and started the Newcastle Chronicle? d July 1918
James Edward b. November 1892 m. May 25 1913 d. November 9 1921
I found them in the 1881 census online on familysearch.com. In that census they had Henry’s mother widowed living with them 74 years old then …another Mary Forster born 1807 Richmond York UK…no middle name or maiden name….and doesn’t name husband. I believe John Henry was the name every generation. In the 1891 census her name is missing so she may have died. So I am still searching backwards. I am also trying to trace my Grandmother Clarisse Sarah Hunter who married John Henry Forster on July 27, 1904. We don’t seem to have any info on her Hunter family. Not even her date of birth. I was born when my father was 50 so they are all gone now and I can’t remember if he said her birthday. She died 1963 but I was 4. Know she had a ½ sister Edith Maud Hellyer and they were from Alnwick.
My Grandparents ran a pub in Coxhoe called Tyneside Inn early 1900’s.
