Liz

This is a very interesting situation I believe. You mentioned Sublett - thought that was a familiar family name, din't check out. It is believed our Forsee's(Jean and Marie Farcy(i) emigrated from France in about 1695 as French Huegenots fleeing from religious persecution. It is a strong possiblity they settled in Mannakentown, VA on arrival from France. They had 2 sons Estienne and Francois...... on and on. My husbands' family goes back to Buckingham County, VA which is also in the vacinity of Chesterfield County, VA. I know there is a connection - just what I'm not sure. His gggggrandfather was Daniel Pierre Forsee(one of his son's name was James Daniel - my husband's ggggrandfather), born in Buckingham County, VA - married Naomi Flowers and moved on to Tennessee in about 1806 or so. The name James is a popular name in this family for several generations. It's interesting that the name would also be spelled Foesee - I've never seen that before.

Keep in touch - Lori (grforseemi@juno.com)
