Mark,
I have a grandfather Robert Forrester, born ~ 1880 and died 1945. I do not have much information, only knowing that he lived in Cape Town and was married to Minnie Friedman. I am not sure where he was born or when he or his family immigrated to SA. I have some notes that indicate that his father may have been a one James Forrester. James was married to Charlotte Cardinal. I am trying to research my family lineage but having little success trying to get info out of South Africa. Please let me know if you have anything that matches up.
