Posted by: mark (ID *****1157) Date: January 04, 2009 at 12:23:27   of 1602 I'm researching a line of FORRESTER's who eventually ended up in Middlesbrough, having previously being born in Salford, Lancashire. My own 3 x Gt Grandfather was one ROBERT FORRESTER (b.1840 Salford). Both he and his brother, ALFRED (b.1846 Salford) lived and worked in Middlesbrough. ROBERT, a fitter, and ALFRED, an Inn-keeper, both died in Middlesbrough. I'm led to believe that ALFRED's son, ROBERT (b.1875), emigrated to South Africa, so there must be some-one in SA who can confirm this... ALFRED's other son, ALFRED (b.1879) was an architect.
