I keep getting lost at Marcus, I am begaining to wonder if Marcus wasn't William Marcus Forrester. My grandfather says William Forrester came to the US from Cork Ireland in 1776 as a stow-away. I did find a William that was in the English Army that jumped ship and went to NC and worked hauling lead from a mine during the war and then later was in Spartenburg SC. The Forrester family seemed to branch out pretty fast. Maybe he had other relation here to begain with. Bob
