My GGG Grandfather was John, the brother to your GGGG Grandfather Thomas that married Margaret Marney. Thomas is buried in Strafford, Mo. Date on the stone he died in 1865.
I often wondered if John and Thomas were half brothers. Thomas was a very religious person and John was the opposite.
I had him mixed up with my GG Grandfather Thomas Forrester there was some trouble for them getting their army pension's. They must of applied about the same time. So the government call My GG Grandfather Thomas Forrester Jr. and his Uncle Thomas Sr. As so to keep them seperated. Your GGGG Grandfather fougnt in the Florida War and Mine was in the Black Hawk War & Civil War. John came up from Kingston, Tenn. after the Civil War. Thanks Bob
