Hello, I also am a family member, on Mary Ann Montgomery's side, the family gave the account to the "Daily Appeal" at the time of the General's death, Oct. 29, 1877, it is on the front page of the newspaper in an account of his life. "His twin sister grew to beautiful womanhood and after marring a young gentleman name of Glover, she removed to Texas, where she died giving birth to her first child." This was given to the newspaper by my cousin Mary Ann Montgomery Forrest, who would know what happened to her sister-in-law better than she? Her sister's name sake passed away at age 5 in 1854 in Memphis. I do not deny that the General lost 4 siblings out of his 6 brothers and 3 sisters, but if your information is correct that would be 5 of the original 10 children, the 4 brothers that went into the war with him, Jeffery, Aaron, William and Jesse, and the other brother John that was an invalid from the Mexian War and the General would make 6 men, there is a difference here would you like to explain it, you start with 10 and go from there. I guess it is at my age, 59, the numbers are becoming confusing. Now if you have tombstones with their names on them some one needs to futher research, maybe through the cencus records to get the name right, at this time I don't have the time, so I'll go by Mary Ann's memory.
