I have found additional info about Hezekiah Forrest, my gg grandfather:
HEZEKIAH FORREST born 6 March 1816 in TN, died 28 Dec 1896 in Howell Co, MO. Married (1) Martha Elender Utley, (2) Hannah (Wright) Baker, (3) Martha Ann Blalock. He is buried by his first wife in Blue Mound Cemetery, Howell Co, MO. Of his issue: Mary Leona Josephine Forrest b. 11 Sept. 1856 in Benton Co, TN, married (1) John Samuel McFarland 25 July 1880 in Howell Co, MO, (2) Phillip Tackett (3) George Tackett, (4) John Francis Marion Campbell.
Also in the book "Langston Heritage to Posterity" by Obal Elbridge Langston, published Nov. 4, 1988, pg. 90, he states Hezekiah Forrest and Mangram Langston were two of his great-grandfathers and were chain carriers on a surveying commission in 1868. He also states that Hezekiah Forrest was an Indian who had been educated in white schools as a Missionary Baptist clergyman, and that three of the Forrest sons became medical doctors. They were John, Enoch and Martin Forrest.
